What is the meaning of life?

A question that’s been asked since the beginning of time. A question that’s still asked today because people are scared of the answer or maybe they’re afraid that there is no answer.

Are we brought onto this Earth for a reason? Is there a supernatural force that’s counting on me to solve world hunger? Or maybe the mere purpose of my existence was fulfilled when I picked up that empty chip bag that was laying next to the trash can last week. This obscure force looks over our life and our planet: watches us discover and deteriorate, triumph and fail, but can never do anything about it. So maybe, this force controls our planet indirectly. By creating us, a developed species, to make this world a better place in any way possible. To do what it wants to do, but isn’t able to.

Or maybe we have to find our own way. Maybe we’re just given the opportunity of life, and what we make of it is up to us. Perhaps no one knows where we’re going to end up or what our future looks like.

But does it matter what the meaning of our life is? The way I see it is we’re given one chance at this thing called life, so make the most of it. Because once it’s gone, you might not get it back. Be in the present, and live in the moment. Every second you worry about the future is a second you’ve wasted in the present. Go do what you love and what you want because you might not get the chance if you keep putting it off.

This is a question that some people spend their whole lives trying to find the answer to.
So, what is the meaning of life? The meaning of life, our life, is that which we choose to give it.
