uggghhhhhhh.... and continue that for another 30 seconds. a lot has happened in the last week; both good and bad. which should i start with? well, i think ending on a good note is the way to go, so let's start with the bad.

wellll (lots of repeating letters in this post)... my phone has completely shut off. i've had my iphone 8 for just under a year, ten months to be more exact. this is the second time it's randomly turned off all by itself for an expanded period of time; the first being 2 days and now we are pushing 4 days. so for the time being, im using my Microsoft Pro and ipod 4th generation. i'm currently sitting at a starbucks at the mall waiting until apple technicians can see what the heck is wrong with my phone. and the thing that sucks the absolute most is that i have 2,000 plus photos from a trip (one of two good things) i just took stuck on there. and i don't know about you but i don't pay to have extra icloud storage. so guess who might be left with 2,000 plus photos less if her phone doesn't turn on? me!!!! i was going to use the photos i took to take you along the journey i had over my sister's fall break in the blue ridge mountains...

as for the good, two great things happened to me. first, as i just stated, i went on a trip to the blue ridge mountains (i live in the US). i can not describe how beautiful the mountains and valleys looked in words. hopefully i'll be able to write a short series of articles (including photos, fingers crossed) about where i went, camped, and saw. although i was slightly disappointed because the trees hadn't really started to change colors, i can't complain because the views were still just as good. and don't get me started on the weather. most the trip was sunny with cool temperatures in between 75 and 85, with a slight breeze. i know everyone has their own opinions on the perfect temperature, but that is my definition of perfect weather.

the second good thing was MY BIRTHDAY. i turned 20 this year. while i don't really feel any older yet, it feels hella nice to not say blank-teen anymore. my birthday was the last day of my family's trip and it was amazing. i slept in the hammock my dad made for me and i got to choose what we ate at each meal, including dessert (because i count that as its own meal lol). this weekend we will be celebrating with a more formal lunch/dinner instead of eating in the car as we drove home :)

******

well i had to stop writing before i posted the article because i got a text from the apple store... unfortunately my iphone 8 has left us. let us take a moment of silence.

apple technicians (i call them apple angels lol) said that there's a pin not working in the charging port and that is causing my phone to not turn on. but i have never had a problem charging it before so who knows. luckily i have a new phone on the way, yay. anyway i'll let you guys get back to your own life and not complain about mine anymore.

tomorrow i will continue my pumpkin meal series so stay tuned. if you missed part one, you can find it here along side all my other articles :)

'til next time,
