Topher Grace portrayed Eddie Brock/Venom in Spider Man 3. Tom Hardy stars in the new Venom movie as Eddie Brock/Venom. Being that it's been 11 years since we've seen Venom in a live action movie, there's some differences.

Topher's Venom never ate people or tried to eat people like Tom Hardy's. However, Topher's Venom screeched kind of like a pterodactyl and I don't think Tom's does. I have nothing against Topher's Venom, he's actually my favorite villain from Spider Man 3 besides Goblin. I really want to see the Venom movie. I know people have complained about it, but whatever.
