Bonjour, and thank you for clicking on this article. First of all, I want to thank you for all the hearts I've got on my first article. Because it was my first article I didn't expect much, but you guys are so amazing and made me feel amazing about myself! In this article I'm going to be giving tips about planning, since life can be so hectic: school, work and sport, and that all in the 24 hours we got in a day. It can be tough, but I hope these tips will help you.

DIARY

I know some people aren't a big fan of putting everything on paper, but a digital agenda works just as well. If you're an artistic person you can also use a bullet journal, but there are enough printables on Google which work just as well. Write out any appointments you have, when you have to go to school or you have to work, but also make time to go to the gym. If you want to start that healthy lifestyle you have to plan out time to work-out, so you know for sure you have the time to go and you don't make any plans during the time you want to work-out. Try to keep up with your diary as much as possible, it's an amazing overview of your week and can really help you out.

TO DO LIST

Write everything you have to do that day on a piece of paper. I find it the most helpful to make a to do list the night before, but you can do whatever you find the most effective for yourself. Colour code every task you have to do, for example: blue is a task to do with school, pink is for work and purple is a task to do with yourself, like cleaning up, working-out or meeting a friend. Now, it may be tempting to write a lot of things on your to do list, but you have to keep it doable, otherwise you'll only disappoint yourself. While making the to do list, keep in mind how long you think it's going to take to make a reasonable list.

GOALS

Goals are very important in everybody's life. Write down big goals for a month or year, slightly smaller goals for the week and one or two goals for the day, You can include these to your to do list to remind yourself, or write them next to your list, as long as you don't forget about them. These goals will help you keep going and motivate yourself for when life is tough on you. Again, make the goals realistic and help them build your way to the end-goal, the goal you have set for the year.

WRITE IT DOWN

Try to write down everything that's on your mind to make you feel organized: a habit tracker, a sleep tracker, small things you have to do, your spending and income, and so on. When you have everything noted on paper you can put the thought out of your mind and focus on the thing you're actually working on.

JOURNAL

At the end of the day, look back on your day and how it went. Did you have the chance to finish everything, did you complete your goals, were you happy? Write down what went wrong and what went great and why, and what you want to change or improve the next day. This will give you a great vision of your day, and can eventually help you better your productivity, planning skills and habits.

RELAX

You can't expect yourself to work all day, you have to choose a specific time to stop working: enough is enough, you don't want to burn yourself out. Also, when you have completed your to do list, it's not a sign you have to do more, it's a sign you have done enough for today and can take some time for yourself. It doesn't mean you can't be productive the rest of the day, but reading or listening to a podcast can also help your productivity, while at the same time you can relax.
