Why do people forget to be kind lately? Do they actually forget or has everyone just stopped caring about the simple act of being kind to people? Being kind to friends, family or even strangers.
Let me tell you being kind is very simple, but not a priority apparently. But why is that? If you ask people, they think being kind is not important anymore. I would even say people think it's just not necessary. Nowadays, people are only kind when they get something in exchange. If they want that job, if they want money or a favor.
It seems like no one will be kind just for being kind. And I keep asking myself, why?
Kindness is such a beautiful and somewhat forgotten thing. So here's a piece of advice to start with something really simple. Next time you see someone you care about or even a complete stranger, instead of continuing to walk or to do whatever you were doing, why don't you offer them a smile? You don't even have to say anything. Just a smile. Because actions speak louder than words.

Believe me, you will make someone feel a little better about their day. And you will feel better, too.
Now I'll just leave you with this beautful piece of truth from The Help that I love in hopes of making someone smile even if it's just a little: "You is kind, you is smart and you is important".
