Hello, beautiful hearters! Happy Sunday. I hope you're having a great day.

So I've been debating on making this article for a while. But I feel as if I should because a lot of people might need it and it's kind of cool to see how other people study God's word.

When I study my Bible, I take notes in a traveler's notebook (I got mine at Michael's and it's probably one of the best purchases I have ever made for my Bible). I write my Sunday sermon notes in there mostly, but when I look back at them, I can read the passage mentioned and make more notes and maybe even art.

About three years ago, I was roaming Pinterest and I came across Bible journaling. I immediately asked my mom if she could buy me one and when it arrived, my Bible journaling journey began.

I've come a long way since my first journal entry. Recently I've been reading through the book of Psalms (Psalms is one of my favorite books so far, as well as Proverbs, Hebrews, and Jeremiah). Here are some of my most recent entries:

Bible journaling helped restore my faith. Since the first moment I touched that Bible, I knew something was about to change.

The more I journaled, the eager I got to read the Bible. I'm completely obsessed with it. If you want to know a little more about Bible journaling, feel free to message me. I would love to talk about it.

Some tips I have when reading and studying your Bible include:

  • Use highlighters
  • Underline what sticks out to you
  • Look at the bottom for footnotes; they can be pretty handy
  • Read the passage a few times before making art
  • Don't be afraid to write in the margins of your Bible
  • Don't be afraid to ask questions
  • Keep an open mind
  • Pray before and after reading
  • Meditate on what you learn/read

Trust me, these help. There are also some amazing Christian YouTubers like Jordan Lee Dooley, Kirbyisaboss, Chelsea Crockett, Illustrated Faith. They have all helped me in my Bible journaling and studying journey. I recommend watching some of their videos.

That's all I have for you today, loves. :) Remember to keep searching. God is trying to speak to you. You just have to listen.

XO,
Kaylee
