Day1: Explain the meaning of your name

Born in Lebanon, but being Armenian by blood, my name, Sanahine, was foreign to most of my friends and Lebanese citizens.

It is also a rare name even in Armenians, that's why I fell in love to it and found it unique and utterly special with my identity.

Though the reason why I'm attached to my name isn't only because its rarity but also because it meant a lot to my father.

The Sanahin Monastery was founded in the 10th century in Lori Provence of Armenia which have become today a touristic place that captures people's heart of its ancient architecture, its "Khachkars" (stones with elaborate engravings representing a cross), and the silence of the nature which brings inner peace.

Sanahin in Armenian means "This one is older", this name got attached to the monastery from the moment they compared it to the neighbouring monastery called Haghpat.

While visiting this breath taking place, my father fell in love with its beauty and the stories hiddin within its walls, thus he decided to name his daughter after it.
