No matter how hard we try to be optimistic and happy there will be days when all you feel like doing is watching the Titanic and eating Ben & Jerry's in bed. Sometimes it may be hard to break that feeling so here are my tips to feeling better if you are having a bad day.

Journaling is not for everyone but sometimes you just need to get the thoughts that are stuck in your head onto paper. Somehow getting it out of your mind and letting it all out helps a lot and lifts a weight off of your shoulders.

Spend time with loved ones

Boyfriend, girlfriend, best friend, mom, dad, brother or sister. Just spending time with people who love you, doing something that keeps your mind off whatever you is keeping you down can lift your mood a lot more than you may think.

Take care of yourself

When it comes to days where you do not feel your best the most important thing to do is take care of yourself. Whether that is though a bath, a spa treatment or even just sitting by yourself you have to fully feel what you are feeling, because that is the only way you will end up learning about yourself.

Have a favorite

When you are feeling bad there is nothing better than having something you like. It may be a cup of coffee, pizza or even fruit. It is called comfort food for a reason.

Listen to good music

Music has been a part of humanity for longer than we remember. It can make us feel a lot of different things so make sure to listen to tones you genuinely love and that make you feel amazing.

Go for a walk in silence

This tip might seem like a bizarre one but it works. We surround ourselves with people and music each time we go out. Sometimes all we need it time to be in the now and there is no better way to do that than walking without your headphones and taking it all in.
