Hi guys! So today I decided to do a little book review about this book that I just finished reading:

Eleanor and Park is a YA novel, from the author Rainbow Rowel, which talks about a complicated teenage romance.

The book is placed in 1986, and it talks about the entire process of two teens (who already have lots of struggles in their own lives, and go through some rough things, specially Eleanor ) that fall in love for each other.

My favorite thing from the book is how the author develops a love that is not the one we are used to these days... The love the characters develop is pure, and extremely relatable! It talks about the first love, and the discovering of new things and sensations!

I love how a lot of important subjects are talked in such a structured way, and how the author is actually able to turn the character's emotions into our own. You'll laugh and feel bad, and feel good, and if you are a sugar heart like me, you'll definitely cry!

I would totally recommend this book to anyone who, just like me, loves teenage romance and falling in love with the characters.

My favorite quotes were:

"Holding Eleanor's hand was like touching a butterfly. Or a heartbeat. Like holding something complete, and completely alive".
"He put his hand on her back. He tried to do it like it was something he did all the time, as if touching her someplace new wasn't like discovering the Northwest Passage".
"Because Park was the sun, and that was the only way Eleanor could think to explain it"
"He knows I'll like a song before I've heart it. He laughs before I even get to the punch line. There's a place on his chest, just below his throat, that makes me want to let him open doors for me. There's only one of him.
