The Kings Of Summer

I can't really even remember how I found out about this movie. I remember watching the trailer on youtube and wanting to watch it so bad. For some reason, I couldn't find anywhere to watch it online so I had to order the dvd from amazon. So after waiting a week for the dvd to come by mail, I was finally able to watch it. I loved it and then told my friend that she had to see it, so I brought it over to her house. We still quote this movie often and no one knows what we are talking about. So going into this movie, the only really familiar face for me was Moises Arias (Rico from Hannah Montana). I recognized Nick Robinson because my friend watched Melissa and Joey and he was on there. This movie really furthered my crush on him. This was also before I watched Parks and Rec or Community so this film also introduced me to Nick Offerman and Alison Brie. This is a true coming of age movie, which is kind of hard to find these days. I find this movie hilarious. It is so easy to quote once you watch it because it has so many funny odd one liners.

That Thing You Do

It's actually been a while since I've seen this one. One of my friend's dad used to always like us to watch this movie. I remember having a crush on Guy Patterson. I also remember thinking that Liv Tyler's character deserved much better than her boyfriend. The song from this movie, by the same name, is super catchy.

This is a tv show. It's basically the unrelated sequel to Freaks and Geeks. It's another work of Judd Apatow and has Seth Rogen in it. And, just like Freaks and Geeks, this show was cancelled after one season. This show featured tons of people too like, Jason Segel, Amy Poehler, Kevin Hart, Busy Phillips, Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, and Ben Stiller.

The Art Of Getting By

This movie reminded me of being stuck. Lacking motivation and not being sure how to fix this. I can't remember much about this movie, I'm probably due for a rewatch. But I do remember enjoying it.

Everybody Wants Some

I remember seeing an article about this movie before it came out. It was being made by Richard Linklater (who made Dazed and Confused) so I was automatically interested. I continued reading and found out that this would be similar to Dazed and Confused but it would be taking place in the 80's instead of 70's and college instead of high school. So I then began keeping tabs on this movie, waiting for it to come out. I saw a poster for the film and I recognized Derek from Teen Wolf, he has a pretty rad mustache in this. Once it finally came out in theaters, me and some of my friends decided to go and see it. It was only released in select theaters so we had to go to one that we normally don't. Anyways, I enjoyed this movie the first time I watched it, but I come to like it more every additional time I watch it. It's funny, and I love the scenes where they go out to different clubs. The sing along to Rapper's Delight also made me laugh.

It's Kind Of A Funny Story

I remember seeing the trailer for this film and wanting to watch it. So, if you're considering watching any of the films on this list, go watch the trailers first. Zach Galifianakis is hilarious in this. Plus, Noel's "I HATE BOYS" shirt is a whole mood.

This movie is remarkable when you think about it. A movie filmed with the same cast over the course of 12 years. Insane. Because of this fact, this movie gets to dive deeper than most films can.

Summer Catch

I have mentioned my crushes on Freddie Prinze Jr. and Matthew Lillard. This movie has both!! Well so does Scooby Doo but I didn't find myself attracted to them in that one. This is about Freddie Prinze Jr.'s character trying to make it as a pitcher while playing minor league baseball. They play this movie on the baseball channel all the time, which is what my dad always has out tv set to, so him and I both have watched this movie a good bit. I think Jessica Biel is one of my all time woman crushes too. I mean, she's Justin Timberlake's woman so she's obviously doing something right.
