1 The Book Thief
There were people everywhere on the street, but the stranger could not have been more alone if it had been empty.
She was one of the few souls that made me wonder what it was to live.

Life had altered in the wildest possible way, but it was imperative that they act as if nothing at all had happened. Imagine smiling after a slap in the face. Then think of doing it twenty-fours a day.
I always marvel at the humans' ability to keep going. They always manage to stagger on even with tears streaming down their faces.
2 The Woman I once Loved
Your love will be too strong for anyone who isn't looking for something real.

Do not mistake her welcoming smile for an invite, nor her niceness for flirtation. She does not want you just because she treats you as human beings should treat one another.
Begging for love is like: begging birds to fly, for trees to grow, or the sun to rise & set. You can't beg for things that just ought to be.
3 Insomnia (Stephen King)
It was life, often unsatisfying, frequently cruel, usually boring, sometimes beautiful, once in a while exhilarating.

4 Looking for Alaska
I've always liked quiet people: You never know if they're dancing in a daydream or if they're carrying the weight of the world.
5 All the bright places
What a terrible feeling to love someone and not be able to help them.
6 Sorry, you're not my type.
I wished for you when it all began, I'll need you after it all ends. In between, I'm giving life a chance...
That's it for part 1. :)
