Hello everyone🌸☺️ I'm back again with another article

As many of you know, water connects every aspect of life (and if you didn't know that, now you know it!). Access to safe and clean water can quickly turn problems into potential. Today 1 in 9 people lack access to clean water. We can change this. Lets work together to make water available to all.

My city, where I live it's called Antofagasta, we get the water from the ocean🌊 and we need to make a huge process to get clean and potable water, this is possible by a company called Aguas Antofagasta.

The process consist of the desalination of water. This begins with the capture of water from the sea, then the water enters into a double filtration to separate the salts that are present dissolved in the seawater, this is achieved thanks to the reverse osmosis.

A huge problem is that desalination of water it's not helping the environment, it's making the situation worst and it's finishing with all the animals in the ocean🐬, because of the big concentration of arsenic.

Today I'm going to share with you 5 easy ways to save water💧and 5 ways to protect the ocean🐠 that you all can put in practice every single day as part of your routines

5 easy ways to save water💙💧

💙1. Close the tap when you're brushing your teeth: One of the main causes of wasted water in all the world🌎 you may think you're not wasting that much water, but you are. By closing the faucet while brushing your teeth can make a big change, you can save around 15 gallons of water.

💙2. Shower bucket: Instead of letting the water pour down the drain, stick a bucket under the faucet while you wait for your shower water to heat up, you can use the water for flushing the toulet or watering your plants🌸

💙3. Don't run the dishwasher or washing machine until it's full: Those half-loads add up to gallons and gallons of wasted water💦.

💙4. Fix any and all water leaks in your home: A little drip doesn’t seem so bad but when it drips three times a minute, that’s 20 times an hour or 480 times a day. That’s 175,200 drips per year. It adds up quickly doesn’t it?

💙5. Figure out a new use for that leftover pasta water: Whenever you have to boil something (eggs, pasta, etc) keep a large container around. When you drain the pasta into the colander, put the container underneath to catch the water. Use that to water your plants or your yard.

5 easy ways to save the ocean 🐠🌊

💙1. Reduce the use of plastic: The more plastic you use, the more plastic ends up landing in the sea. Both marine and birdlife often mistake pieces of plastic for food and often end up choking after consuming it.

💙2. Clean up your local beaches: Start by spending time on your beach, picking up waste.

💙3. Reduce your consumption of energy: Drastic reductions will help reduce oceans’ temperatures. Current increases in temperatures are threatening marine life and starving it with scarce levels of oxygen.

💙4. Educate yourself on the ocean’s ecosystems: Immerse yourself in literature, particularly on preserving the ecosystems of the oceans. The more knowledgeable you become, the more aware you will be on how your own consumption levels affect the oceanic environment.

💙5. Dispose of chemical waste responsibly: There are chemical waste depots near to you.

Last but not less important, I want you guys to keep this on mind: water is something we should not take for granted, if you are one of the lucky ones who have unlimited access to water 24/7 from your homes then you should be more than grateful for having this resource, because all over the world there are millions of people who have to walk hours just for one bucket of water.

Water will not last forever and it's in our hands to conserve it as much as we can. Did you know about this global problem? what do you think about it?
