Hey everyone, this is the first monthly playlist article. I love reading everyone's monthly playlist articles, so I figured I'd write my own. I don't really have a specific favorite music genre, I like a little bit of everything. I will put explicit next to songs because I know that's not everyone's cup of tea. And also the genre of music it is for the people who may not know. And a little down low on the songs.
So without further ado here is my

April Playlist.

K. - Cigarettes After Sex (Indie rock)

This song is so cool and slow, it gives me Arctic Monkeys 'Mad Sounds' vibes. I would highly recommend this one.

Don’t Tell Me - Ruel (Pop)

I recently discovered this young guy from Sydney, and honest to God he has the most perfect voice. I will say I wasn't too sure about the music video for this song though... The song itself though is incredible.

Want You Back - 5SOS (Pop) (Explicit)

Okay, I will admit I'm not actually the biggest fan of 5sos, (I know, what controversy). And I was a little apprehensive about listening to this when it came out, but trust me it is groovy af. It starts off slow but then it picks up and the beat is just everything. Also the lyrics give me life. The music video is so funky. (And yes they all look like they were carved from the Gods.)

My My My! - Troye Sivan (Pop)

When this song came out I held off listening to it, because literally every song by Troye physically and emotionally kills me. But heck, I have made up for the time that everyone was listening to it and loving it. I can proudly say I've listened to it on repeat.

Take What I Can Get - Matthew Mayfield (Folk)

I found this song while shamelessly looking through fan edited videos of Jancy (aka the ship of dreams. Sorry to those Stancy shippers.) And this was the song in the background of one of the videos. And I downloaded to it immediately. And yes I've nearly listened to it 100 times. Not even ashamed.

Here is the video if you are a Jancy shipper like myself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEGvHW6I3Ac

Africa - Toto (Classic Rock)

In saying how I am not a Stancy shipper, I absolutely loveeeeee the song Africa - Toto. And the reason why there is a Stancy gif is because it is in one of the scenes when they are together. Basically, if you haven't already, you must watch Stranger Things. And yes I have listened to this 121 times.

I’m Not Her - Clara Mae (Pop)

I feel like this is such a power song, it's the perfect song to listen to when you are over an ex and this song is an ultimate pick me up. Btw, I know you are strong enough and I believe in you.

I Still Wait For You - XYLØ (Pop) (Explicit)

I know that most people associate this song with a breakup with a s.o, but I honestly think it could be applied to any relationship. I've been applying it to friendships, and it is so darn catchy.

This Is Home - CAVETOWN (Alternative/Indie)

This an indie song that I am so obsessed with it, it's a bit different but honestly so calming and pretty. It has a ukelele in it and honestly, I don't listen to enough songs with ukuleles in them.

Miss You - Louis Tomlinson (Pop) (Explicit)

Louis was always my favorite in One Direction, and this is honestly such a good song. Although it is upbeat it is actually so sad. I feel like it is an accurate representation of people who are going through a breakup.

Adore - Dean Lewis (Singer-songwriter)

This is such a sweet song and it is perfect if you are experiencing unrequited love.

Chateau - Angus & Julia Stone (Singer-songwriter, Alternative/Indie)

Okay if you haven't already seen the music video for this song, drop everything and watch it now. The beautiful Dacre Montgomery is in it. Whom is in the season season of Stranger Things. The song is so beautiful, I would highly recommend.

Woman - Harry Styles (Rock music)

When this beautiful soul came out with an album I felt as if all my prayers had finally been answered. I absolutely love this song, it is so rock and perfect. Ugh. Will Harry ever come out with something I don't like?

He is so beautiful.

Supernova - Ansel Elgort (Dance/electronic) (Explicit)

If you say you don't like Ansel Elgort you are lying to yourself. This upbeat song is everything, but also do yourself a favor by listening to the acoustic version. The boy can legit sing.

Golden Years - Ruel (Dance/electronic)

Again another song by the amazing Ruel, this is more upbeat than the first but honestly so good and would be amazing for a partyyyy.

This Must Be My Dream - The 1975 (Alternative/Indie)

Ugh, take me back to the 1975 concert. Honestly best concert ever and this song gives me life. Matt Healy is everything and more.

You Are The Reason - Calum Scott (Pop)

This is a song I listen to on the daily, it is so emotional and gives me motivation. Idk why though because it's sad. But so so good.

Until next time my lovelies,
