I watch a lot of series, but these are the ones that have snaked their way to the top of my list. They just insisted on being watched in one sitting. So, you know, watch them with caution because once you start, you might not leave your house in days. Just saying.
Orange Is the New Black
it truly is
Witty? Check. Sassy? Check. Quirky? Check. But on a more serious note... it represents all kind of women and the issues women have to deal with. I think it beautifully shows how we're all only human. "We all make bad choises, some of just have different bad choises to make". A definite number one on this list.
Gilmore Girls
you've been gilmored:
This is the funniest series I know. A young mom is raising her now teenage kid in a small town. Lorelai talks a mile a minute, the show is full of pop-culture references (good ones I might add, references to actual classics) and it's one of the best things I've ever seen. If you haven't seen it, you're missing out.
BBC Sherlock
our favorite sociopath:
An asshole genius aka modern day Sherlock solving crimes with Watson. This is a brilliantly written show, with just the right mix of humour and mystery. It is fast-paced and hilarious, what is there not to like?
Riverdale
the aesthetics tho
"From a distance, it presents itself like so many other small towns all over the world Safe.
Decent.
Innocent.
Get closer, though, and you start seeing the shadows underneath."
It just keeps getting better and it's icredibly engrossing. The only thing I dislike about this is the age of the actors. Never been a huge fan of 25 year olds portraying high school teens.
I'd also give honorable mentions to Stranger Things and Grace & Frankie.
