4. The Usual Suspects (1995)
A sole survivor tells of the twisty events leading up to a horrific gun battle on a boat, which began when five criminals met at a seemingly random police lineup (IMDb). The police lineup, by the way, is iconic and completely improvised, it’ll be your favorite scene from the movie and for some reason it will make you crack up. Putting the cherry on top with a not expected ending, this film is definitely worth watching.

6. The Dark Knight (2008)
When the menace known as the Joker emerges from his mysterious past, he wreaks havoc and chaos on the people of Gotham, the Dark Knight must accept one of the greatest psychological and physical tests of his ability to fight injustice (IMDb). Even though this movie was released just ten years ago, it can be counted to one of the greatest of all time. With an outstanding performance by Heath Ledger, who probably portrayed the Joker the best, this movie is a must-see and can be watched again and again and again and again and again.

7. V for Vendetta (2005)
In a future British tyranny, a shadowy freedom fighter, known only by the alias of "V", plots to overthrow it with the help of a young woman (IMDb). Full of mysteries and secrets, this film makes me wonder what our government keeps from us. A very sad ending though.

8. Misery (1990)
After a famous author is rescued from a car crash by a fan of his novels, he comes to realize that the care he is receiving is only the beginning of a nightmare of captivity and abuse (IMDb). I don't know why, but Stephen King movies really are a mindfuck. I wonder why celebrities are scared of their crazy fans...

9. Black Swan (2010)
A committed dancer wins the lead role in a production of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" only to find herself struggling to maintain her sanity. This has a deeper meaning once you understand it (lol).
