Lemon and Chili Ice Cream

Ingredients of Lemon and Chili Ice Cream:

  • 2 and 1/2 leaves kaffir lime leaves
  • 1/4 stalk lemon grass
  • 1/2 red chilli
  • 2 tablespoon heavy cream
For The Main Dish
  • 1/2 cup Coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup Custard powder

  • 1 red chilli
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup Coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup Custard powder

  • 7 and 1/2 leaves kaffir lime leaves
  • 3/4 stalk lemon grass
  • 1 and 1/2 red chilli
  • 1/3 cup and 2 teaspoon heavy cream
For The Main Dish
  • 1 and 1/2 cup Coconut milk
  • 1/3 cup and 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 cup Custard powder

  • 10 leaves kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 stalk lemon grass
  • 2 chopped red chilli
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
For The Main Dish
  • 2 cup Coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cup Custard powder

Servings

Step 1

To make this yummy ice cream recipe, heat coconut milk until it starts simmering.

Step 2

When its done, place it aside and whisk in the sugar until it dissolves completely.

Step 3

Then, add the lime leaves, lemon grass and chillies in it and keep aside for around 10 minutes.

Step 4

Remove the lime leaves and lemongrass, and whisk in the heavy cream along with vanilla custard.

Step 5

Chill this mixture over an ice bath. Meanwhile, freeze a shallow stainless steel container. Pour the cold mixture into the frozen pan.

Step 6

Chill for 20 minutes and check the ice cream. As the edges start to freeze, stir the mixture vigorously with a spatula or a whisk to make it smooth and creamy. Continue to freeze after whisking.

Step 7

Stir the ice cream vigorously every half an hour, about four to five times, until it's firmly frozen. If the ice cream becomes too hard to stir, let it sit out till it's soft enough to stir before freezing it again.

Step 8

In three hours, your ice cream should be ready to serve.
