โFolks are usually about as happy as they make their minds up to be.โ

This article will be a guide to bring you more joy, it's about activities you can do every day and make a habit of because we all know that the little things are always the big ones.
I am of course no psychiatrist, I just like sharing my life experiences with people who might benefit from them. I like helping people and making them feel better.
I'll write and list all of the things, that always work for me and hopefully will for you.
Remember, that patience is the key to life, trust me it is. A seed cannot grow into a tree over night, this ain't no fairytale. But believe me when I say it'll be worth it in the end.
Even if you're not sad and already are a pretty joyous person, you're free to stay, and mabye still get inspiried by anything written in this article.
Let us begin ๐
What Makes Me Happy :
1. Laughing

2. Music

3. Writing

4. Travelling

5. The Sunrise and Sunset

Things To Do To Make You Feel Better :
- Dance

free yourself from any kind of emotional baggage by dancing your troubles away. Doesn't if it's with a friend or yourself in the living room, have fun, let go and dance to the rythm called life.
- Meditate

Not only does meditation ease your mind, it will rest your soul and bring you peace.
- Take a bath

Relax, breathe and let the warm water embrace you like the hug of a loved one.
- Get up early

We all know by now that eight to seven hours of sleep are essential to a healthy mindset. That also counts for not sleeping in until 1PM, unless it's the weekend. Wake up early and enjoy every single hour of your day. Develop a morning routine that will help you relish that time of the day and do at least two productive things. Getting up in the early hour also improves your sleep. Do your brain and soul a favour, please.
- Have a drink

Now, do NOT believe I'm encourging heavy drinking which would be terrible. But for me personally, there's something so calming and refreshing about having an ice-cold beer at the end of the day, especially in summer. It's like heaven on earth. So I'm not saying drink underage or vodka on the rocks, got it?
- Have a Spa day

You will feel pretty and beautiful inside and out. Relax and enjoy being a goddess.
- Leave the house

Do this every day, even if it's only for an hour or you're not even in the mood for it, do it. I don't wanna force you into anything but you should do it because it will help your mental health. Get that fresh air, those 9000 steps per day and that sunshine vitamin D on your skin. It doesn't matter where you live, if you're on the countryside take a walk pass the flower fields, your home is located in the middle of the city? Great, try out that new restaurant, go to the movies or visit your local Zoo. Break out of your bad staying-at-home for 24/7 habit.
- Read something

Be it your favorite guilty-pleasure celeb gossip mag or nerding out on your favorite blog, taking a few moments to indulge in something you truly enjoy will give you a burst of positive energy.
- Go to sleep early

Want good reasons for that?
1. You might have an easier time maintaining a healthy weight.
2. You can lower your risk for scary diseases.
3. Be more productive (at work, school...)
4. You look better (glowing)
5. You might worry less
6. You won't feel upset
7. It's healthier
- Get a new haircut

There's nothing more freeing than the removal of your hair. Getting all the dry, split ends cut off or your hair profesionally dyed, will not only make you feel a heavy burden has fallen off, you will look "new-born", fresh and ready to conquer the world.

- Clean your room

If you clean up your surroundings, it will clean your mind.
- Do what you love

I don't think I need to explain this. Whatever sets your heart on fire, do it.
- Volunteer Your Time.

The more we give, the happier we feel. Volunteering increases self-confidence. You are doing good for others and the community, which provides a natural sense of accomplishment. Your role as a volunteer can also give you a sense of pride and identity.
- Stop comparing yourself

Chances are you always pick those at the very top to compare yourself to. No wonder you feel like you've come up short! Focusing on the things you've accomplished is a lot more productive.
- Order your favourite food

Trying to loose weight or the delivery service is too expensive around your town? God, how I know how that feels like. But what I do is, at the beginning of every single month, I'm speaking day 1, I indulge myself into ordering a big pizza with soda. Simple, sure, but it's one of the best things to do, it always satisfies my mind.
- Watch a cartoon or an animation

I don't know what it is about animated TV-Shows, but they make me feel so calm and relaxed, like I have no worries in the world. Maybe because some of them bring back carefree childhood memories, or are just less dramatic than real life related series.
- Throw away old clothes and buy new ones

Out with the old in with the new.
You'll feel more powerful and confident in an outfit that is newer and is not similar to all your other clothes. If you don't have much money to spent, either try to create different clothing styles with what is already in your closet, or find websites and local (vintage) stores with moderate prices.
