Hello Everyone!

So it's been awhile since I've last published an article, but today I just discovered that the this creative platform for fashion, home design, beauty, and many other things is no more.

Polyvore wasn't just an app or website. It was a community of people who came together to create contests, stories, music, and fandoms. There was and is no other outlet like Polyvore; but now its gone!

I don't mean to be dramatic, but I was just on Polyvore yesterday, and to my utter shock, when I tried to log in today, I found out that its been taken over by SSENSE, an expensive clothing retail store that in no way represents what Polyvore was. I am upset that there was no warning or notice, and that I am no longer able to use this space, or outlet, that I used to express my creativity and as 'me-time.'

I am upset that my works in progress are gone and I will never be able to get them back, nor replicate them.

And most of all, I'm upset because the people I was just starting to become friends with I will never hear from again, and there is no way I can contact them.

Poly users, if you're reading this, let's rally together and bring back Polyvore! There are already petitions underway, and I urge you to sign it! I know this might not seem like a big deal, especially in the case of all the major world problems that we face today. But Polyvore brought love, creativity, and positivity and encouragement amongst girls (and boys!) and we need to have more spaces like that that encourage people to be like that.

A big shout-out to all my girls @.ecclxiastastes (steph), @.etoilesdanse (marisa), @.made-of-starlight (elle), @.lizzybel-18 (grace), and @.feels-like-snow-in-september (jemma) if you read this I'd love to stay in touch with y'all! Just message me :)

stay safe and stay healthy,
alaina. {@.musicislife-983 via Polyvore}
