Hello, beautiful hearters and Smilers! Happy Thursday. Today's article is another #StudyWithMe article. Not only is today another #StudyWithMe article, but the release of #TheSmileProject #StudyWithMe -- A Devotional. The first devotion is officially up on Wattpad. The link to it will be at the bottom. Now without further ado, today's #StudyWithMe article.

Psalm 23

1 The Lord is my shepherd, I will lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Fear

We all go through fear. It's a natural emotion. It could be a fear of something like snakes, sharks, water, or it could be an event like a test that will determine your future or an attack of some sort. Fear is a part of our everyday lives. It's important to understand how to control it and handle it.

Verse 4 reminds us of God's presence. "I will fear no evil, for you are with me."

When I was little, I was terrified of storms. I still am, but I know everything will be okay. But I didn't know that when I was younger. One day my parents got me a Junior the Asparagus doll. He was battery operated. Whenever I got scared at night, I hugged it tight and pressed his stomach He sang the "God is Bigger" song. It made me feel better instantly.

It's okay to feel fearful sometimes. In fact, it's good from time to time, but it's also important to remember that fear will fade. God won't.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Don't let fear control you but rather let yourself control fear.

Thank you for joining me today. I'm honestly hoping these #StudyWithMe articles help you in every way possible. I truly enjoy writing them and I'm so excited for this next step in our adventure.

Like always, I hope you have an amazing rest of your day and week. Remember to keep smiling. You never know who will need it.

XO,
Kaylee
