I don't usually do readathons, but after a terrible reading month, considering that in the last two weeks I have read 2 books and liked neither of them, I have decided to participate in one to catch up on my reading goal. And APRILATHON just came by. This readathon has actually started on the 2nd of April and ends on 8th, but I just got around writing about it.

This springly readathon is hosted by April from Aprilius Maximus channel and is all about catching up on your tbr. This readthon consits of 6 pretty broad challenges, so if you are participating or decide to, definitely let me know, cuz it is so motivating to read with other people!

So, here is my tbr for the event:

1) Read a book that you acquired recently
Jozef Mak (J.C. Hronský)

This book is actually an assigned reading I have to finish today, so... yeah, it is very boring. Luckily I am already half-way through so I hope I will meet this goal.

2) Read a book with a beautiful cover
the sun and her flowers (R. Kaur)

I am one of those chicks who love modern art and poetry and all those stuff that people say they don't understand, so this is definitely right up my alley. Plus, it is super short. I was given this book by my friend for christmas and I can't wait to finally get to it.

3) Read a book you've been meaning to read for ages
Eagle (J. Stone)

As I have mentioned in my Books that made me love reading article (link below), one of my favourite series is The five ancestors series by Jeff Stone, but I have only read the first four books. So this week I have decided to try and fit the fifth book into my reading. I might want to reread the previous books beforehand, so I guess I'll see how it goes.

4) Read a book with your favourite colour on the cover
V hlavní roli Snoopy (Ch. M. Schulz)

orange, fruit, and food image sunshine, neon, and quotes image
Taking a trip down the memory lan to my previous article again, I love Peanuts and I own several anthologies with these comic strips. And one in my collection I have not read yet is my favourite colour - Orange. What a coincidence! (I have totally misspelled this but it is 1 a.m. and I am not looking it up)

5) Read a hyped book or book that has been recommended to you
Simon vs. the Homo sapines Agenda (B. Albertalli)

Ok, this book and the movie have been all over the internet for a while and considering the fact that I have picked up this book shortly after it's release, it's more than a time to finally read it. I hope this will live up to the hype and I'll love it.

6) Read a book that you've been EXCITED to read
La tetería del oso malayo (D. Rubin)

drink, healthy, and Hot image Temporarily removed
This spanish comic about a bear owning a tea shop has won several awards and since my purchase of this book I have been dying to read this. It is another short read for this week and I hope to complete it as soon as possible. I already love the feel this book gives me.

So, this is my tbr for the week. Let me know if you are participating or reading any of these books. If you want, you can read my other article about books or follow me on Goodreads, where you can see my aprilathon shelve and like, read what these books are actually about, (https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/42467716-bee) or instagram @cowabunga_gurl for updates! //B
