Throne of Glass, Sarah J. Maas
Celaena Sardothien is the Assassin of Adarlan. After serving for a year in the salt mines of Endovier, an offer is made to her by the son of the king of Adarlan. Dorian, the prince, wants her to compete against other assassins. The winner in the competition will be granted the position of the king's champion. Celaena agrees to take part only because of one condition: Dorian promises her freedom after four years of service to the kingdom.
This book was quite an enjoyable and easy read. I personally didn't ship Celaena neither with Dorian nor Chaol. Chaol was a judgemental prick. He annoyed the crap out of me. Celaena didn't deserve the love of my baby Dorian. Dorian was kind and sweet, whereas Chaol bitched about everything Celaena did. I loved Celaena and Nehemia's friendship.

Crown of Midnight, Sarah J. Maas
The second instalment of The Throne of Glass Series. Celaena has become the king's champion. Now she has to do the dirty work of the vicious ruler of Adarlan. But Celaena stages all her " victims' " murders.
I liked Chaol better in this book. Though I fancied the development of Celaena and Chaol's relationship, I felt sorry that Dorian was left aside by both the woman he loves and his best friend.
I didn't think that this book would make me feel so emotional. The scene in Calaculla was heart wrenching. I loved that at the end of the book Chaol traded his happiness for Celaena's safety. That melted my heart.

Heir of Fire, Sarah J. Maas
Celaena/ Aelin now has headed to a far-off land. After being 10 years in a place where magic doesn't exist anymore, she has to face her true nature and her tragic past.
At first this book was a little too slow for me. I found Manon's (an Ironteeth Witch) POV a little bit boring. But then I started getting fascinated with her relationship with Abraxos. I want a pet wyvern. I imagined them as Hiccup's dragon from How To Train Your Dragon. I'm a little bothered about where Celaena and Chaol's relationship is going. I'm not so fond of Rowan and I don't picture him with Aelin as a couple.
I loved this book, but I have a question: why does my baby Dorian have to suffer at every ending of these books??

Bloodlines, Richelle Mead
Bloolines is a spin-off series to the Vampire Academy series, from which I have read only two books. I decided to start this series before finishing the Vampire Academy series, because why not.
I liked the main character. Sydney Sage, an alchemist, is appointed to look after a moroi- Jill ( apparently Lissa's sister who is now the Queen of Moroi). All her life Sydney is thought that vampires are dangerous no matter of their kind- moroi or strigoi. Now she has to live with one.
Kind does not equal boring. Being able to fight does not equal strong. I don't understand some of the hate towards Sydney. I found her character witty and charming. I liked the fact that she sympathized with Jill and Adrian, even though all her life she is let to believe that all vampires are these monstrous beings.
Mood: hiring a guy to beat and remove your sister's rapist eye in order to help him keep his eye(s) off of any more women.
