The third question for the advice program of #PluieDeSentiments has been asked by the lovely hearter @night__memories. You can find her WHI account here.

If you got any questions yourself, Noha and I are happy to help. You can find the introduction article of our project and the two previous advice articles here.

If you want to know all the other things our project includes, you can read it here.

How should you deal with fake people?

I think the best possible way to deal with fake people is to avoid them. If they make you feel annoyed or disrespected whenever you’re with them, they honestly aren’t worth your time. Plus, they won’t be able to get on your nerves if you spend less time with them.

Sometimes social situations may force you to hang out with fake people anyway. In this case, avoid being rude yourself and just try to act polite without being overfriendly. Your act of little kindness will prove that you’re wiser than any of them.

The real problem takes place when the fake person is a friend of yours. The best thing you can do is to speak up when you’re noticing that he or she isn’t acting in a way that you know is true to their self. But remember to use your words carefully and to be prepared for a little resistance.

Understanding why your friend is acting this way can make it much easier to overcome his or her fake behavior, so don’t be afraid to ask questions. Simply saying hey, I’ve noticed you acting a little different lately can help the situation a lot. Because you never know, maybe your friend just needs a heart-to-heart conversation.

If these actions don’t help the situation in any way, consider taking a break from your friendship. It’s okay to take a step back, and sometimes it’s even necessary.

The one thing you need to remember is to not let fake behavior get to you. Walk away from it if you have to, because fake people don’t deserve to make you feel like crap. Friendships are supposed to be investments on both sides, not just one.

Dealing with fake people can be hard sometimes, and most of us have met them before. So, know that you’re definitely not alone!

We know this advice article is a bit shorter than the previous ones, but we've honestly both dealt with fake people before as well, and we realize it isn't always easy to respond to them in a good way. We do hope this article gave you a bit of helpful advice, and we thank you for taking the time to read this.
