Dear you,
If there is one constant thing in our life, one little thing that enhances the very essence of life, it's Love. As far as I know, for centuries, people have been seeking for it, deeply knowing that life was nothing if love wasn't there to colour their world. But at the end of the day, what is love? Why do we keep thinking about it? What makes us fall in love, not only romantically, but with everything else? Have I come to a conclusion on what is love? Not yet.
But isn't that the most beautiful aspect of it, not being able to define it? Because defining it with words would mean to give Love this common sense that words have. Anyway, without further ado, I will try, as much as possible to give you an insight of how I see Love.
- ♡ What does love mean to you?
What a great word love is! Not only does it make you think unconsciously of someone in your mind, but it makes the memory of your body feel something which you can't really put words on. I know it. But what does it mean to me?
I believe love is being able to truly see the world. It isn't just about being romantically in love, it is also about being truthful to yourself, to the people around you and accepting their truthful self, as well as yours.
Nonetheless, Love is the unpredictable, hiding somewhere, waiting for you to fall into its arms. It's the shivers on your skin, the long nights when sleep has decided to avoid you because it rather sees you thinking about that one person. Love is the smile you cannot hide, as though you're trying your best. Love is what you thought you didn't need to achieve your dreams, but when it strikes you, it's like you couldn't have done anything without it. It takes part of every inch of your body and soul and devours it. To me, that's what romantic love is, or I believe should be.
- ♡ Why do you think we feel love?
We feel love because our bodies need to be nourished with hopes, electrical connections and the feeling of being in someone's heart. But we also feel the love from our friends because we connect souls to each other in order to make the world feel smaller. We feel love because the world would be too dark and hopeless if love didn't paint it with its dazzling colours.
- ♡ Do you believe in love at first sight?
I don't because we are attracted to someone with our eyes and we fall in love once the person opens his/her heart through his/her eyes so not at first.
- ♡ Do you consider yourself a romantic person?
- ♡ What in your opinion is the best part about being in love?
I believe that the best part of being in love is to have your whole life turned upside down and somehow not being bothered by it.
- ♡ Have you ever fallen in love with someone you can't have?
I did. Well, I like to believe that I had strong feelings for him but I wasn't totally in love because I couldn't be with him. We met a while ago in a different country This love was shared at one point but since we live in different countries I didn't let those feelings get in the way of the wonderful friendship we had and still do today. It hurts though not being able to fully love someone as much as you would like because of the distance. Nonetheless, I'm fine with it since I count him as one of my best friends now
- ♡ What do you expect from the Love of your life?
The thing is, I don't expect anything from him. I want someone to enter my life and make me feel like he makes everything more beautiful. I want him to shatter every expectation I could have unconsciously because love isn't about expectations, it's about that one person you didn't expect to find and yet always needed to. If that makes sense.
- ♡ Have you already found the love of your life?
- ♡ Do you think love can be forever?
The romantic side of me would like to believe forever love to exist but I don't know, right now, as I see the world moving and be the way it is, I think looking for a forever is putting way too many expectations on someone and I wouldn't like someone to do that with me. So I'd like to believe that love is the ink you need to write the most beautiful pages of your life.
- ♡ How do you make others feel loved?
I have my secrets for that. Sometimes, people just need you to look at them in the eyes and tell them how beautiful they look today, how one day they are going to change the world. Sometimes, all you need is to call someone a Queen ( trust me it works, I know for sure that when I call my friends Queens, it makes them feel loved and give them the assurance that they can also look at themselves as Queens.
So this is the end of the article and trusts me, I did my best not to write an entire novel on the subject, ( though the novel I am currently writing deals with it). Nonetheless, if there is a thing about love is its power which is beyond words, too strong to be described by common words.
