Hello! I have recently gotten into writing, but I lack the inspiration. I decided to complete the 30 Days Writing Challenge. I originally found this post from @themermaidwriter so all credits go to her. Without further ado, here is my day one writing challenge!

Day 1 | Explain the Meaning of Your Name

Katarina- KAT-uh-ree-nuh
Feminine name originating from ancient Greece. It is a Greek variant of the name Ekaterini and a Russian/Bulgarian short form of Ekaterina or Yekaterina. It is the standard Swedish, Croatian, Bosnian, Serbian, and Slovenian form of Katherine.

The name Katarina is often associated with the Greek word katharos, meaning "pure".

I didn't actually know the meaning of my name until a couple of years ago when it was assigned as a school project. I love knowing the meaning of my name because it makes me feel like I know myself a little bit better. I was named after a family member on my dad's side of the family. (They are Portuguese) My name means a lot to me because of the connection it has to another person.

I do recommend researching what your full name means because it is something fun to know. That's all for now.

Much love <3
