Heey everyone, happy Friday! ♡ So today I really wanted to write about discipline. Everybody needs a certain level of discipline and restraint in their lives. To be the best versions of ourselves we need balance. So here are some simple tips to become more disciplined.

At the heart of any successful person, is self-discipline. It all starts with an inherent ability for self-control through discipline. Your thoughts. Your emotions. Your behaviors. And your habits. All of them must be kept in check. If you want to achieve those lofty goals you set, understanding how to discipline yourself is a key ingredient to the success recipe.

H A B I T S

Considering that so much of what we do on a daily basis is habit-driven, developing the right habits will help to enlist the right amount of discipline back into our lives. Whether it's waking up earlier, exercising more or spending more time with friends and family changing your habits up will help to bring some balance back into you're life.

S L E E P

Sleep is a keystone habit. Getting the proper amount of sleep is a vital need to getting anything done. When we don't get enough sleep it affects every aspect of our lives; from out mood, ability to focus, judgment, diet and our overall health. It is important to get at least 6 hours of sleep no matter what. The benefits of getting enough sleep are countless, so put down whatever is distracting you and get some shut-eye.

O R G A N I S A T I O N

To be self-disciplined and to achieve our goals we need to be organised. An organised life is a disciplined life. Even making your bed in the morning or cleaning your desk every day can help to introduce the habit of organisation. When the space surrounding you is clean and organised your mind becomes more relaxed, stress-free and able to concentrate.

T I M E M A N A G E M E N T

Without the habit of time management, it would be virtually impossible to get anything done. Managing your time correctly and efficiently is one of the best ways to enlist self-discipline back into you're life. When we can properly manage our time, we have room for the stuff that actually matters. So, create a list of Urgent and Non Urgent things that need done and work from there.

Of course, no set of discipline habits would be complete without persistence. Persistence is that certain habit that helps us not to give up, even when it seems impossible. Without persistence, self-discipline would be useless. There are many ways to instill this habit but one of the best ways is to come up with profound reasons as to why you want the things in life that you do. When your reasons are strong enough it will be a lot easier to keep going.
