Hello, loves. So, every Thursday I will be posting a #StudyWithMe article. For the next few weeks, we'll be studying the book of Psalm.

Psalm 1: 1-3

*1* Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with
the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
*2* but whose delight is in the law of
the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day
and night.
*3* That person is like a tree planted by
streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither --
whatever they do prospers.

In verses 1-3, we see that they focus on the idea of negativity and positivity in the sense of meditation and looking in the light. From these verses, we can take that it isn't entirely bad being surrounded by those who drain you of happiness (though it doesn't help much), because in some cases we do have to deal with negative people. We can't really escape it and it is our calling to share the Word and love everyone, even if it is hard and leads to dealing with difficult people. On the positive side, it's important to be rooted in Christ, let Him nourish you. Let Him be the light so you can deal with those difficult people to the best of your ability.

I believe it's important to remember these verses because it is hard to be positive all the time when you're surrounded by negative people. But it isn't impossible. I think these verses remind us of that. We need to try to meditate and be ready to deal with those who push our buttons. We need to try to be as positive and helpful and understanding and loving as possible.

This week, I ask that you pray for this. Pray for His continual help and nourishment. Pray that you won't let those negative people get under your skin. Pray for positivity.

I know this was short, and some may be this short in the future as well, but I hope this gave you something to think about and focus on in your life. Don't let the negativity win. Be humble and loving and understanding and gracious.

Like always, I hope you have an amazing rest of your day and week and remember to smile. The world needs it.
