What is it?

For those of you who are curious about Christianity or those of you who are unsure if you want to convert:
Christianity is the belief in Jesus Christ the Son of God.
Christians believe that Christ came to earth in human form.
Christians also believe that Jesus Christ was crucified and that he stood up from the grave three days later. Later he the returned to heaven with the promise of coming back for his children (believers) one day.

Crucifiction

In the old testament of The Holy Bible people had to follow a set of very specific rules.
If these rules (some of them outrageous) were broken a whole seremony would have to be held in order to ask for forgiveness.
Jesus dying on the cross was a sort of symbol for him carrying the sins of the world.
So now when we do wrong things and want to ask for forgiveness we can pray and talk to Jesus directly to ask for forgiveness and he will wash us white as snow so that we can have the eternal life.

Bibles?

Bibles are divided into the old and the new testament. The old testament was written before the crucifiction and The New Testament after.
Any Holy Bible can work, but the one that I recommend and find more understandable is the New Living Version (NLV)
I love Joyce Meyer's Bible because she adds prayers and explanations as well as how to use the scriptures in your every day life.
If you can't afford to buy a physical Bible download the YouVersion Bible app - it allows you to highlight, change languages, change the version of Bible and has an audio function. It also has Bible plans that you can read a Bible quote with an explanation every day. There are plans specifically for people new to Christianity and people who are undecided about converting.

What Bible verses to read?

Here are a few of my favourite verses:
John 3:16- "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Psalm 23:4 "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me."

Psalm 147:3 "He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds"
