Hello guys, I'm back with another article! In today's article I'm going to give you some tips on how to become a morning person and how to not be tired in the mornings. Let's just get straight into it!

1. Wake up earlier

I used to be one of those people who set their alarm as late as humanly possible, just to have enough time to brush my teeth and change my clothes. I was out the door in less than 10 minutes. Once I got to school I realized I had forgotten something because I was such in a hurry. I started waking up earlier and it truly changed my entire mornings. I know it can be hard for the first few weeks to wake up extra 20 minutes earlier than usually, but trust me, it's totally worth it! You'll have so much more time in the morning and manage to do much more than usually. For example, I had those extra 20 minutes to do my makeup!

2. Go to bed earlier

If you're going to wake up earlier you have to go to bed earlier, too. Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night. It truly helps you to become a morning person. Obviously, the more you sleep, the less tired you are when you wake up!

3. Place your alarm clock/phone on the other side of the room

I know we've all hit the snooze button way too many times to get those extra few minutes of sleep. Unfortunately, that's not going to make you less tired, but quite the opposite! What I started doing was placing my phone on the other side of the room when I went to bed. When the alarm rang in the morning I had to get out of bed to turn it off! Once I was already up, I went straight to the bathroom and washed my face with cold water. I no longer wanted to go back to bed because I was already on my feet; ready to start the morning!

4. Don't snooze

This is important. As I mentioned in tip number 3, the more you snooze, the more tired you are. When your alarm rings do not snooze! Get straight up and start doing your morning routine.

5. Have a reason WHY

When you have a clear reason WHY you want to become a morning person you're more likely to get up in the morning. Is it a test you want to study? Maybe start eating breakfast? Workout in the morning? Or just simply have more time in the morning to get ready? Whatever it may be, it's going to motivate you to get out of bed. If you don't have a reason, you're not going to want to get up.

6. Have a routine

Having a routine is what makes mornings so fun. When you have a routine that you follow it makes mornings much more enjoyable. It could include breakfast, showering, applying makeup or whatever!

7. The 5 second rule

When you turn off your alarm, count from five to one in your head. When you reach number one, get out of bed. This 5 second rule triggers our brain to do an activity once you reach number one. It's like when you're in a running contest and you hear someone counting, it prepares your body to move when you hear the last number or the gunshot or whatever it may be.
