Body image is the way we see ourselves. We may criticize ourselves about how we look or about that one stubborn pimple. The question is, why do we think these things? Why do we tear ourselves down? Is it because others do it to us on a daily basis? Or is it because we lack confidence in ourselves.

It's hard to not compare yourselves to those you see in the media. It's also hard to feel pretty even though others are telling you that you're not. Anyone can feel insecure about the way they look. Whether you're skinny or not. I've always hated it when people think that the only way to be insecure is if you're a plus size person.

In reality that's not true. At all. To Categorize one group for something that millions of people go through isn't fair. Not to anyone. Because then people who are naturally skinny feel the need to justify what they're going through. Or people who are naturally bigger feel the need to explain why they're not insecure.

I don't think anyone should be ashamed of what they look like or what they feel. I do think people should try to learn to love and accept themselves. That is important. You can't let other people have the power to control you. If you want to workout, then go ahead. It's okay to want to gain and lose weight. It's your body, your choice.

Do what you need to do to feel happy. To be confident. And don't let others get in your head. At the end of the day, their opinion doesn't matter. Yours does. You're going to have yourself for the rest of your life, why not be happy?

I just wanted to share this message to anyone who is going through this. I hope you enjoyed.
