Hey everyone!

First of all, I'd like to apologise for my inactivity. I know I'd said that I'd be posting at least once a week, but school has become so busy and so crazy that I honestly have not had the time. So here, in one of my moments of peace (that being Monday the 23rd of March, Labour Day), I thought I might post a book review. Book reviews in the future will mostly be linked to my Goodreads as well.

I hope you enjoy!

ILLUMINAE

summary: This morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do. This afternoon, her planet was invaded. Told through a fascinating dossier of hacked documents, Illuminae is the first book in a heart-stopping trilogy about the price of truth, and the courage of the human heart.

REVIEW
The depth and detail in this book is absolutely astounding. While I'll admit that at first, it was very hard to get into, and rather difficult to read in the format it is, as I got further into the story, I found it simply impossible to put down. Somehow, I felt like the data analyst on the receiving end of these files, piecing through the conversations, the camera and audio footage, and the rants of a somewhat-insane AI. It was breathtakingly exhilarating.

Kaufman and Kristoff have created this totally unbelievable - but simultaneously utterly realistic - story that had me in tears at times, and grinning with maniacal joy at others.

I've grown to undoubtedly love Kady's character - her drive and determination are something that I don't often see in my peers, and would love to develop in the future.

I cannot wait to sink my teeth into Gemina, and cannot recommend this story enough.

That's all from me today guys! I hope you've enjoyed this article.

See you soon!
