Sometimes we just need a break.

School/Work is stressful, and some of you might have something going on at home, and sometimes that can be too much. We may even feel like walking out the front door and leaving.

Here are some things I suggest trying.

1. Treat yourself

Go out to a restaurant or a local coffee shop/bakery. Get your mind off things and take a moment to breathe different air. Following a schedule or seeing the same scenery every day can get bland and grey. see something new and away from the workspace.


Look at things from a new angle and get to know the area. Have fun with it. This will definitely get your mind off of things.

3. Read a book

Find a book with good ratings (or any book you prefer), and read. Your mind will be too invested in the book you're reading and forget about whatever you are stressing about. It's also a nice break from all the screens and tech.

4. Music/Dance

Tune it up with some music and dance. Have fun! No ones watching. Ignore the world and dance. This is a sure way of getting your mind off of things if you are truly having fun.

5. Nap

Yes. Nap. Taking a break is healthy and is a sure way to relax. Find a quiet place that you know you won't be disturbed for a while and just sleep. Refreshing yourself is a good first step to getting your thoughts organized.
