Welcome to my first article ever! Today I decided to share my top healthy morning habits, that not only will make your day start off healthy, but also maintain overall happiness and joy. Let's get straight into it!

Drinking water is the key to glowing skin, reducing acne, healthy hair and much more! Roughly 60% of our body is made of water. It helps to maintain the body's fluid balance, digestion and even weight loss! Drinking a glass of water before any meal helps with overeating. Try to add fresh lemons in your water for better taste!

When you sleep you tend to rub your face all over your pillow, which contains all that nasty oil from your hair. Washing your face first thing in the morning not only wakes you up, but prevents acne and is a must before applying any makeup. So remember to always wash and moisturize your face in the morning!

If you eat healthy breakfast you're much more likely to continue eating healthy meals throughout the day. Try to add healthy carbs (such as oats, whole-grain bread), protein and healthy fats in your breakfast. It
will also keep you fuller for longer. Avocado toast, smoothies and oatmeal are my favorites and it only takes less than 5 minutes to make!

Ok, I know what you're thinking. Why would I get up earlier just to workout in the mornings, I want to sleep! Working out in the mornings actually wakes you up, makes you happier and more productive throughout the day. It doesn't have to be an one hour gym session, it can be just a quick home workout! Stretching or a quick HIIT workout only takes like 10 minutes of your mornings.

I'm one of those people who check their phones first thing in the morning. I also tend to lay on my bed scrolling through Instagram or Facebook and realize I'm way behind time. Once I started to limit my social media in the mornings, I realized I had much more time in the mornings. I didn't have to rush to school and then realize I forgot something home because I was such in a hurry. Do your morning chores first and then check your phone.
