I stare at my reflection. Seeing two images:
one the person I want to be
and the other the person I've become.
I look in the mirror and fling insults at her and they bounce back,
penetrating my shields, slamming through the defences I put up for everyone
except me,
leaving dents after every one. I tell her things, all these damaging things.

And she believes me:
I believe me.
