The great thing about technology is it's ability to help us learn and optimise our study routines. Despite the many ways it proves to be a distraction it has also created a great amount of study resources for us to utilise. Here are some apps I love using to learn.

I'm sure a lot of you know about it, but it is a great app to make flashcards to study on the go. I sort mine out by subject and I honestly love it so much. It has different features to help you commit the information into memory and it's pretty good and worth the download. It can also be used on a laptop if you don't want to get it on your phone.

For the chemistry students who love to carry out practicals or just anyone interested in doing some experiments. It's like having a lab on your phone, you can carry out several types of reactions safely from the comfort of your home/bed/anywhere you are basically. It simulates the reactions and you get to see, hear and feel the results. It's a fun way to learn chemistry and I also recommend it.

This is a great app for getting solutions to Math questions. What I love the most about this app is that it shows you the steps so instead of just getting the answers you can learn how to do it on your own. Although it can't solve ALL math questions, but for high school level, it's pretty handy to have.

If you've ever heard of the Pomodoro study method, this app is a timer app that uses that technique. You have 4 study sessions that last 25 minutes each and 5 minute break at the end of the four sessions you get a long break, which is about 15 - 20 minutes (all times can be adjusted). It's great to help you focus (pun intended). All jokes aside, if you have a hard time concentrating on tasks (like me) this technique and app will be great for you.
