Since I was a little girl, I've always had a bad habit of constantly replaying or re-watching something that I like.

It was so bad that I could most like recite the entire Little Mermaid movie, just based off of memory.

It seems this habit has influenced not only how I watch movies, but also how I listen to music too.

When I find a song that I really like, I continuously play it over and over until, I find a new song to listen to and then the cycle continues.

As someone who will gladly refuses go to school, if she doesn't have a functioning pair of headphones on hand, it's safe to say music is a huge part of my life.

Here's a few songs that has constantly been on repeat during this month.

Honestly, the song is just lit and I love his flow. For someone with rainbow color hair, my dude stay sounding angry.

Love Lies by Khalid & Normani

As much as I dislike the girls from 5th Harmony and refuse to support anything they do every since Carmila Cabello left (rant for another time), I have to admit this song is a Bop.

It has a very sexy and sensual feel to it.

and Normani and Khalid voices complements each other well.

Cleopatron (Drunk on Me) by Diamond White

First of all, y'all sleep on my girl. Not only is this songs is extremely lit but the music video is equally as amazing. I'm surprised at the lack of view it has (and the lack of pictures of her on WeHeartIt).

All i have to say is their melanin was hella-popping .

BabyWipe by Ski Mask the Slump God

Another lit song that I was late to but hey, better late then never, right? Honestly his lyrics are catchy as hell and his flow (just like his music videos) is pretty unique.

all i have to say is, why the long name tho.

Stir Fry by Migos

2018 has given me a new appreciation for the Migos. You can’t help bop your head to this song when its playing.

Plus some of their lyrics is hella genius (also makes me giggle to myself).

”She got a big ol' onion booty, make the world cry” - Migos

There's no way you can sing that and not smile.

Look Alive (feat. Drake) by BlocBoy JB

If you ask me, this was Drake’s song and Bloc Boy was just featuring. Another lit song with a fire beat.

All The Stars by Kendrick & SZA

Before we get into how amazing the song is, can we just appreciate the beauty that the music video was.

43 million views just isn’t enough.

I could honestly make a whole article about how beautiful the music video was but to keep it short I’ll just focus on the song itself (for now).

Whenever I hear this song, I get chills. Just the vibe of the song is unexplainable.

The couldn’t imagine a more perfect duo. Just pure magic.

I first heard this song during Kendrick Lamar’s 2018 Grammy performance (side note- one of the best performances ever) and I’ve fallen in love with it since.

XXX. (feat. U2) by Kendrick Lamar

I probably wouldn’t have even know about this song had Kendrick not performed it at the Grammys this year.

Whenever I hear this song it reminds me of Malcolm X and the Black Panther movement.

There’s such more I can say about this song, instead here’s one of the many lyrics that resonates with me.

"Ain’t no black power when your baby killed by a coward."

God’s Plan by Drake

Drake, rihanna, and views image
One of those song you loved at first but now it’s played out.

I’ll never forget at my school assembly on the football field and when DJ just so happen to play this song.

I swear every single person in our student body starting sing the same overplayed lyric of this song.

”I only love my bed and my momma, I’m sorry”
gif, meme, and mood image
What’s ridiculous and mindblow about this is most of this kids at my school don’t have a bed to their name and disrespect their mothers on a daily basis.

But anyways the song is cute.

Psilocybin by Jhené Aiko

Y’all know I couldn't talk about music without mentioning my girl, Jhené.

Like always, I’m constantly listening to anything made by Jhené but I’m starting to have a new appreciation for her newest album.

breezy, chris brown, and Lyrics image
Some of the songs that weren’t really my favorite are starting to really grow on me, Psilocybin being one of them.
coachella, girl, and friends image
Just like drug, Psilocybin has a high feeling to it .The vibe of this song is something like a hippie and peaceful. I can almost imagine myself at Coachella while listening to this song.

That concludes my playlist for February.

Whats your playlist for February? Do you have any songs you can't stop listening to? I'm always looking for new music to listen to.

Until next time...
