Hey everyone, decided to do an article based on what I use and do to help clear my skin and make it look brighter. Please do note that everyone's skin is different, so what works for me may not work for you. With that being said, please don't get mad if you don't notice any results when following my skincare routine, I cannot guarantee it will work for you. This routine also works more effectively for those with oily/combination skin

What I do...

1) Drink a lot of water

Water clears your skin. Most people know that drinking more water can be good for clear skin and it can also help the symptoms of acne. Water flushes toxins out of your body and anything else that shouldn't be there so it clears your skin of any dirt and bacteria

2) Wash face at least 2 times a day

I usually wash my face in the morning and at night

3) Decrease sugar and oil-based foods intake

sugary foods and oily foods are known for clogging pores and leading to an acne breakout

4) Stop touching your face

Even if you just washed your hands with water and soap, don't touch your face. There are so many bacteria on your hand, under your nails. And your face, well, it doesn't like those bacteria as much

What I use...

Tea Tree Toner from either The Body Shop or Lush Cosmetics. I use this toner after I washed my face and before applying moisturizer. These toners are usually used when I have a lot of acne or after taking off makeup

The Body Shop: Seaweed Oil Control Toner. This is also used after washing my face, but before applying moisturizer. This is my everyday toner that I use because it helps control my oily skin. I usually use this once a day

This is my favourite toner of all time! Reduces excess oil buildup and bacteria growth on the skin heals infections, reduces redness and inflammation, and halts the development of blackheads and whiteheads. I use the Thayers Alcohol-free Rose Petal Soothing Witch Hazel for Face & Skin with Aloe Vera

4) Moisturizer

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Lotion SPF 15. Usually, put this on in the morning, it's always good to put on moisturizer with a little bit of SPF. This will block any harm done to your skin from the sun

5) Acne Spot Treatments

6) Essential Oils/Face Serums

Apply a small amount onto your fingers and massage into the face before going to bed. I do this every night and wake up with a brighter face. Really balances uneven skin

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil; I apply a small amount (3-4 drops) onto my fingers and dab all over my face. I do this once a day, and it doesn't really matter when sometimes in the morning and sometimes before I go to bed

These are the holy grail! There are various different face serums that are specific to each function. From getting rid of dark spots to reducing wrinkle lines, these are the best to use at any time of the day. If you are considering to look into purchasing these, visit their website "The Ordinary", and check out which serum is perfect for you OR you can check out my article, which is essentially a guide on how to choose the right face serum:

This is great for various reasons: getting rid of dark spots, acne scars, uneven skin tones, wrinkles, and many more! This is my go to every night before I go to bed, and after a week I've noticed drastic results. You can find this in your local drugstore for a cheap price

And that's it! It may seem like a lot, but trust me, it's worth it. Especially for someone who struggles with oily skin, this routine helps with controlling the oil, which helps reduce the appearance of acne on my face. Obviously, I don't use ALL of these products every day, I like to alternate and switch around my daily routines, depending on what I think will benefit my face and how much ance I have. Again, these skin care tips may not work for everyone, so keep in mind that whatever I put up here is to only share what works for ME, in hopes that it may also work for SOME other people. EVERYONE'S SKIN IS DIFFERENT
