Before I begin i just want to say that i'm not a professional these are just based on what I've experienced.

Probably one of the most obvious ones but talk to them.Let them know that you're there for them, and that you love them. It can take a lot of courage talking to someone and opening up, so be patient with them and don't make it all about you. Don't force them to talk about things. Let them open up to you when they're ready.

Check up on them daily/bi weekly. I know you may think that you're annoying that person but your not. It makes that person feel like you really care about them and are there for them. Get them help if they need it or want it this could be you just simply ringing and making a appointment for them. Offer them lots of hotlines and resources that they can turn to if needed. Don't force them into getting help. If they don't want help then simply respect that but still be there for that person.

Offer to do things with them that could distract them. You could have a night in with ice cream and movies, take them into town,or even a amusement park or aquarium. Be careful though as it may trigger people with anxiety etc.

Give them a care package. A care package can be stuff filled with some of their favorite snacks, books, movies,or even stuffed animals!

Always be patient and understanding if they don't want to tell you something, don't force it out of them. if they don't answer your text try not to get mad with them. If they don't want to go out don't force them to instead try going out for them and maybe running errands for laundry, grocery shopping, etc.

That's all for this article! I hope you all enjoyed it!
