BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan is a seven-piece Korean boyband who have taken the world by storm. Their music covers serious issues that modern pop stars have made a 'taboo.' For example, in their song N.O, they talked about Korean adults' attitudes towards mental health and they also spoke about how tough and strict the schools are.

Westerners were shocked by the engagement of their fanbase (they call themselves the ARMY) for they have scooped up a Guinness World Record for the most Twitter engagements for a boyband and their amazing fan chant that was sadly cut out of the AMA recordings.

The reason why ARMYs love these boys so much is because of their hard work. In Korea, to become a kpop star they must go through multiple years of gruelling training and even then they are not guaranteed a successful career, therefore, many 'idols' train for years only to find an unsuccessful career awaiting them.

Bangtan Sonyeondan have also faced their own struggles, for example one of the rappers: Min Yoongi (or stage name: Suga) dealt with depression and had to go for therapy to finally accept he was becoming an idol.

All in all, BTS are an extremely talented group and deserve all their recognition and they have proved to us that language is not an unbreakable boundary when it comes to music or anything in general.
