First, I want to reassure you that writing isn't a talent at all. It is something you can learn and with time, knowledge and practice you become better.

Personally, English is my third language. I am born and raised in Egypt, in a French school so my two first languages were Arabic and French but when I moved to Canada, I was forced to speak not only French but English. I was really interested to learn it and be better at it but I was really really bad at even making any sense to talk any basic sentences. I loved it though and on my own, I was able to teach myself this new foreign language that I never spoke or wrote. It took me a few months to be able to write the basics, and obviously, three years later, I can say that I'm still learning but I can also say that I'm way better than three years ago. Now I write books on Wattpad and have a couple of views, my friends tell me that I'm really good at all and now I really enjoy writing in this language that I learned and developed on my own. If you want to learn it, you will.

Secondly, writing is a really interesting thing to do, I feel like. Either writing poems, short stories or fiction or even novels, I feel like you're allowing yourself to exit out world and enter the world of whatever you are writing, you put yourself in their places and pretend to be with them to able to write, you escape your life, your problems, your world to be able to enter theirs. I find that really interesting.

Thirdly, it is a good thing to do when you are bored. For me, whenever I have a free time or a time of boredom with nothing to do, I grab my phone and start writing any small paragraphs on my notes, that I sometimes develop it into a big idea that I turn to a fiction. Fourthly and finally, writing is a really good brain exercise. It keeps your brain sharp and active, it's not just your body muscles that need training to get stronger, your brain needs that too, the more you train it, the stronger it will be, the more it will protect your brain against any illnesses such as Alzheimer or dementia.
