Medusa is an ancient Greek mythological character known for her ability to turn one into stone if they looked at her (even by accident), and for her head of snakes (instead of hair) and winged human female form. Ancient Greek mythology states that Medusa dropped baby poisonous snakes as she wandered through Africa. This is the reason for the high number of poisonous snakes in Africa according to the myth.

Cleopatra, an Egyptian Queen was one of the most famous women in the history. She ruled ancient Egypt for 21 long years. She was the last Pharaoh of Egypt. Her full name was Cleopatra VII Thea Philopator. From the age of 14 to 17, she ruled with her father. Cleopatra was the first ruler who learned to speak and write in Egyptian. Cleopatra studied various different subjects like mathematics, philosophy, astronomy, oratory etc.

Sacagawea was a Lemhi Shoshone woman who is known for her help to the Lewis and Clark Expedition in achieving their chartered mission objectives by exploring the Louisiana Territory. Sacagawea's blue beaded belt was used to barter for a beautiful fur robe made of sea otter skins that Lewis and Clark wanted for a gift for the then president Thomas Jefferson.

Neferneferuaten Nefertiti was an Egyptian queen and the Great Royal Wife of Akhenaten, an Egyptian Pharaoh. Nefertiti and her husband were known for a religious revolution, in which they worshiped one god only, Aten, or the sun disc.
