I had social anxiety growing up. I often was afraid or anxious about what people were going to say about me, and I often had panic attacks at school. It ruined my high school life, and I refuse to allow my thoughts to control who I want to be any longer.
These are a few methods to give you a better mindset

1. Always remember that somebody always has something to say, whether it be good or bad

truth is as long as you know you are fine, and being the best you can be, why should it matter what anybody else thinks?

2. You only have this life
Make the most of it. As long as you have good people, and good vibes around you, nothing else should get in the way. We are in control of our conscious thoughts.

3. The negative comments somebody may be making about you, is most likely a reflection of themselves
This has proven to be factual to me on very different occasions. For example, I had a friend who would make fun of my weight, and often I would ignore it or laugh along, but I discovered a few years ago, that it was she who was terrified of being overweight, and she struggled with her own self confidence, and tried to prey on me with vicious comments. Ignore the hate, and continue to do you. Do what you love and what you like.

4. Most of all, just be happy
Be thankful for a community like WHI, be thankful for your family, and be thankful that we have the power to become whoever we want to be. We are not restricted, we are not controlled (completely at least), and we each have talents and abilities we could offer.

my thoughts are usually all over the place, but these are usually the methods I try and remember when I'm having a shitty day
