Do your eyes hurt from all the ads constantly hitting your face? I know for sure mine do, but some of them are not to miss out on. Recently, some of the ads for online classes have been catching my attention, realizing I should probably repost this article I wrote a few years ago.

You’re probably just like me, overwhelmed with school and studies, trying to figure out a solid plan for the future. It’s not easy, but it can be. Maybe you’re contemplating if school is even for you, perhaps you don’t even know what you want to do, or you just simply want to travel the world instead. Yes, I feel you. I was once there, and let me tell you this, online classes changed my life.

Here’s 5 reasons why!

1. Technology
- You can be anywhere in the world and still be in a classroom, an online classroom. Assignments, discussions and e-texts will be posted online, and you have everything at one place. Professors post presentations, stream lectures, and even call you if you want a practice exam. Just log online and finish your degree with a few clicks.

2. Money
- It’s going to be cheaper, way cheaper. No moving, no commute, no extra fees, and not a must to buy books. All you pay for is the reading and assignment materials, and a small exam fee. Schools charge less for something shared online, than physically handing it to you.

3. Time
- The fact that you can do this anywhere, at any time, certainly solves a lot of problems. We’re busy, we’re lazy, we want to travel, and we want to be everywhere all at once. Now you can! Being able to study in your own pace while doing everything you want to do, makes it all more convenient. Because of no deadlines, you can study as fast as you want, and take your exams whenever you feel like it.

4. Efficiency
- Having a full-time job, studies, and travel all at once sound pretty efficient to me. You can even finish your classes faster than a regular semester, depending on how much you want to study. Just sign up for exams when you feel ready. Remember, you’re in control of your own schedule.

5. Self-improvement.
- There’s no doubt you’ll grow from this experience. You will basically be your own teacher, and your success only depends on you. Be prepared to increase your patience, focus, planning skills, and discipline.

Online classes can sometimes be harder, but better. The key is to stay determined.

Personally, I was able to travel, live in another country, work and still finish my freshman year by studying online. I experienced and accomplished a lot more in a short period of time, than I would normally do. Online classes made it easier for me to follow my dreams, and realize what I wanted to do in life. I wish you the same experience.

So, next time you see that annoying ad about online classes, you won’t skip it.
