Hello there!
In my second article I wanted to share with you some of the steps that I follow after getting home from a long and stressful day. This is sort of my way of recharging batteries for the next day. Enjoy!

1. Change your mindset.

I have found that changing my mindset before entering my home is the base to everything. I usually picture myself leaving all of the bad vibes behind, and sort of starting over as soon as I enter my front door.

2. Greet your family in a loving way.

Most of the time our family has nothing to do with the shitty day that we had at work or school, so try to realize that and give them the love and attention they deserve (and even if they had something to do with your terrible day, showing them love and respect instead of hate can really turn things around and make them think about their decisions).

3. Play with your pets.

They have probably been waiting all day for you to get home! Realize that you have friends, work, school and family, but their whole world revolves around you and those in your home. Show them your love, and they will love you in return.

4. Take a shower/bubble bath.

Think of it as washing away the day; you will feel so much better and comfortable with yourself after.

5. Have a meal.

Some feel better after having a healthy meal and others just want to grab some pizza - you do you!

6. Watch a movie/tv show.

Re-watch your favorite movie or catch on new episodes from your favorite tv show!

7. Write a gratitude list/journal entry.

Clear your mind, and set your goals and intentions for the next day. Be grateful for what you have; realize that you made it through another day.

8. Read a chapter of a book.

If you don't like to read then maybe do some art, yoga, or exercise. The point is to relax and unwind.

9. Listen to your favorite songs.

When trying to lift my mood I listen to my favorite songs over and over again - it makes me feel like I am in control, since I know the lyrics by heart. Does that make sense?

10. Prepare for the next morning.

Prepare your outfit for the next day (it will save you time in the morning, you may have heard), and make sure you set your alarm.

These are some of the things that I do to relax and get ready for the next day, I really hope it helped! Know that even one simple step can help if you just change your mindset and try to stay positive no matter how hard things get. That is why changing your mindset is the first step in this article - it is the most important one.
