Sometimes life can be so overwhelming, and we strongly feel a need to take a break. We think that there is no pause button in life- that everything is just a downward spiral.
There are so many terrible things that go on in the world, and we're not even aware of all of them.
It's a mess.
Mess comes in all sorts of forms including headlines, fanwars, religious persecution, worries about your future, physical health issues, and mental health issues.

There's so much of it.
It can feel like it's all engulfing you, and you can't see past the storm-
wondering when it's all going to come to an end.

This is my advice to you.
Life goes on, except for when it doesn't.
If you are fortunate enough to be breathing in this moment-
to have the ability to hear an annoying song that's always playing on the radio, or
to freely practice your faith without the massive threat of being tortured for it, or
to be able to read this article, or
to be alive,

you have so much to be grateful for.
you have everything that matters in the here and now, and there are billions of people who wish they were in your place.

Learn how to calm your mind, to silence it when the thoughts are too much, to become its friend.
Practice meditation, for it is the pause button you seek.
