Sadness has settled down in my veins,
Fear of losing you has become
A dweller of my soul that’s tightening the threads with yours.

A hole appeared in my heart, and we’re filling it blue,
Carefully painting up the corners; am I ever going to see you?
The stars of your perfect name are engraved on my wrists,
Your existence touched my inner sane and stole my peace.

Used to say nothing can divide us,
But you know words are built of glass;
Believed it’s not matter of time nor is it of distance –
By now we walk two different paths.

Darling, if you’re ever lost,
I promise: you’ll find yourself in the things I write.
To whoever's fingers run through pages with these lines, –
Let me tell you a little secret: somehow, people are drawn to the past.
