I thought I'd share some poems that I've gained inspiration from and enjoyed over the years. You've probably seen some before but I hope you can find one that you really like. I'll also repeat some poets, I'm sorry.

This is volume 2:

birds, ocean, and river image
"Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow."
- Langston Hughes (Dreams)
rose, flowers, and pink image
"The rain said to the wind,
They so smote the garden bed.
That the flowers actually knelt,
And lay lodged--though not dead.
I know how the flowers felt."
- Robert Frost (Lodged)
the 1975 and matty healy image
He tried to spit out the truth;
Dry-mouthed at first,
He drooled and slobbered int eh end;
Truth dribbled down his chin."
- Ernst Hemingway (Ultimately)
beautiful, boy, and cave image
"When he looked the cave in the eye,
Hercules
Had a moment of doubt."
- W.H. Auden (Three Short Poems, 2)
beautiful, burning, and flame image
"Whoever said
the small things
don't matter
has never seen
a match sart a
wildfire."
- Beau Taplin (Wildfire)
dance, girl, and passion image
"And one day
she discovered
that she was fierce
and strong
and full of fire,
and that not even
she could
hold herself back
because her passion
burned brighter
than her fears."
- Mark Anthony
boys, men, and scars image
"I would rather
have a body full of scars
and a head full of memories
than a life
of regrets
and perfect skin."
- Atticus
