Your existential crisis isn't something you can get over, it’s something you have to GET OUT of. It’s like being stuck in a hole that you can’t get out of. There are so many unanswered questions, it clouds your vision of what’s really important and what’s really going on. Here are some tips that can help you feel better and eventually get out of your crisis.

Disclaimer... in no way do I want to romanticize mental illnesses or depression in this article. Romanticizing these things are a big problem on this site and I hope that it doesn't seem like I'm doing this either.

Figure out what is really bugging you
When you feel like life is pointless, it usually means there’s something missing in your life. Do you need a new friend? Do you need closure for a past relationship? It’s hard to know sometimes because your mind is fogged up with the depression and anxiety. This leads to the next tip…

Talk to someone!!!
If you don’t talk to someone, you will not be able to hear your thoughts out loud and find out what is really going on. It will just be bottled up inside of you, and things will get worse. This was my most stupid mistake I made. I promise you, there are people who feel the same as you do. There is no need to feel insecure or self conscious about this struggle.

Change something
For me, I ended a two year relationship. That may not be what you have to do, but maybe your routine of daily life is not helping you get better. Maybe you need to get a job or start homeschooling.

Do not search Google for help
If you’re going to go on the internet looking for help, it should be for someone to talk to if you don’t have anyone to talk to. Talk Life is a really good app to talk to people, my sister helps people there all the time. But besides that, people usually don’t know what they’re talking about. After searching for a long time, I usually end up even more stumped and depressed.

Do not start a harmful habit
Sometimes people start drugs, self-harm or other things because they believe it will make them feel better. This is 100% not the answer. It does not help the situation at all and it never will. Please do not do this!!!
