Hello, beautiful souls of WHI! 🌌
No matter what goals you have in mind for this year, I hope this article will make them easier to achieve.

Some days ago, I was listening to a podcast and I heard something that blew my mind.

Do you why it's hard for people to achieve their goals?
They expect impressive, immediate results. If they don't get them, they give up.

There was an example: A girl who decided to lose weight. The goal was going from overweight to skinny. So she started working out, constantly having the big picture in mind: a skinny body. After two weeks of eating healthier and hitting the gym, she looked in the mirror. She looked the same. She was not even close to skinny. So she gave up.

❌ Media is simply wrong. ❌ Everyday we see people with perfect bodies, flawless skin, wonderful lives. Those are results.

We never see the effort behind the scene. All the time spent in gym, all the fast food they had to say NO to, all the hard work.
We get 'Before" and "After". How about the in-betweens?

Having BIG DREAMS is great and I ALWAYS, ALWAYS encourage that.

But big dreams come true through hard work and consistency.

💙 Instead of having picture A and picture Z in mind, consider all the other letters. 💙

💡 Change the little things to get BIG results. Here are some examples:

🔹 Goal: Lose weight

  • exclude coke (it may sound little, but next year you'll be amazed by the effect)
  • eat less junk food
  • watch only one episode of your favorite show, (instead of binge-watching it) and work out at home for 10 minutes a day (youtube is your best friend)/ go for a walk.

🔹 Goal: Write a book

  • You need a detailed plan. Plan your plot, chapters, characters
  • for at least 10 minutes a day turn your internet off. Put the pen on paper and start working.
  • Next time you're on the bus, don't just listen to music. Make some notes on your phone that might help you on your book.

🔹 Goal: Be more confident

  • Replace the inner monologue titled "Why am I like this?" with motivational podcasts.
  • Instead of scrolling through celebrities newsfeed, search for events nearby. I don't like this either, but in order to boost confidence, you sometimes have to step out of your comfort zone a little, just a little bit. Join workshops, public speaking events, or anything else you're interested in. ^^

That's all for now, but if you still have no idea about the little things you could do to make your dreams come true, send me a message. I'll be happy to brainstorm some ideas with you.
