Moons on her shoes
Stars in her eyes
A galaxy engulfed her
But the earth roamed inside
Waves crashed against her ribcage
Wheat tickling her veins
Nebulas made up her freckles
A forest fire enraged
Jays flew past her eyelids
Campfires danced at her fingertips
Satellites hung from her hair
As wind slipped past her lips
She may have been alone
And maybe you couldn’t see
Her heart longed for you
But she knew it couldn’t be
