Hi, again, loves!
Thanks a lot if you read first part of this article, if not you can read it in my profile or go directly to my collections:

Now, I won’t ramble and keep on going.

Best Animated Feature Film Nominees:
+ Ferdinand.
+ Coco.
+ The Boss Baby.
+ Loving Vincent.
+ The Breadwinner.

I can’t deny that Coco is my favorite and many others too so I really hope it wins and it is really probable although Loving Vincent was one of my favorite movies last year.
Coco was a celebration for diversity that everyone loved and as a Mexican girl I would be beyond happy to see it winning.

Makeup and Hairstyling Nominees:
+ Darkest Hour.
+ Victoria & Abdul.
+ Wonder.

Now, I am firm believer that proper wardrobe and makeup can set the right scene and I really can’t pick a favorite with such amazing work on every film, but if I’m honest Darkest Hour has an awesome makeup artist.

Best Music (Original Song) Nominees:
+ “Stand Up For Something” from Marshall.
+ “Mystery Of Love” from Call Me by Your Name.
+ “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman.
+ “Remember Me” from Coco.
+ “Mighty River” from Mudbound.

Being honest my two favorites are Remember Me and This Is Me, I love these two songs so much that I can’t bring myself to predict which one will win but what I know is that both songs are the most likely to win. I am going to be happy, no matter what.

Best Visual Effects Nominees:
+ Kong: Skull Island.
+ Blade Runner 2049.
+ Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
+ War for the Planet of the Apes.
+ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

This is a great list of nominees that I can’t really pick a favorite. Kong had amazing slow motion camera work as well as Guardians of the Galaxy, the CGI used on every film is beyond amazing and took a lot of effort so any winner will be right.

Best Writing (Adapted Screenplay) Nominees:
+ Logan.
+ Molly’s Game.
+ Mudbound.
+ The Disaster Artist.
+ Call Me by Your Name.

I do not have a favorite in this category, so much effort went onto every single screenplay that is really hard to pick one but honestly I want Logan to win an award after such and awesome experience and a different perspective on a superhero.

Dialogue between Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine and Dafne Keen as Laura Kinney/X-23. Logan, 2017.

Best Writing (Original Screenplay) Nominees:
+ The Shape of Water.
+ Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
+ Get Out.
+ The Big Sick.
+ Lady Bird.

My favorite one here is Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri because I am a big fan of dark comedies and all the insolent jokes were so funny to me but it also had a really deep meaning yet I am unsure if it will win or not. My review on the movie will be posted soon too, look forward to it!

Well, I think think this concludes my article on the Oscars. The ceremony will be held on March 4 with Jimmy Kimmel hosting and I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I do and if you have any predictions too I would love to know them.

I think I am pretty satisfied with the nominees, my only problem is that James McAvoy didn’t got a nomination for Split, that was an awesome movie in which he offered an outstanding performance as well as Anya Taylor-Joy and neither did Jessica Chastain for Molly’s Game nor Charlize Theron for Atomic Blonde or the musical score it has and IT too, for makeup and visual effects and obviously Bill Skarsgård or any of the kids, Sophia Lillis was amazing too!
Yes, the list disappointed me a little, to be honest but I understand that is also a factor of time, anyway, I’ll cross my fingers for my favorites and I hope you do too.

Until next time!
